Typography

One of my favorite forms of art is the use of typography. Yes, great design could portray a message without any words at all, which is why I feel type is in it's own category of art and design. I find a lot of my ideas in the things I hear or say, and find inspiration in basically what's new and awesome these days. Like old signs and the mixture of serifs and san serifs. Here is what I have so far from both my digital portfolio, and my sketchbook. Enjoy!

Letterpress

The photos aren't the best quality because they may have come from my old phone... but the experience, and the work that goes into letterpressing, is the reason I love type so much. Yeah it looks like a lot of work, but what's so great is being able to create and design just how it used to be done. The photos do no justice, it's the experience that makes it worth while, so try it for yourself!
